How do I make a gift voucher?

Pick a size, type the value and a code, and set an expiry. Add who it is for and a message on the larger sizes, then download it as a PDF or a PNG.

Yes, entirely. No account, no watermark and no limit on how many you issue.

Does it track or redeem the codes?

No, and it is important to be clear about that. This makes the artwork; the code is text you type. Keeping a list of which codes have been used is your job, or your till system’s. Nothing here is sent to a server, so nothing here could track it.

What should the QR code point at?

Wherever the voucher is redeemed — your shop, a booking page, a checkout. It is not the voucher code itself; a QR that just repeats the code gives a scanner nothing to do.

Will the QR still scan on a dark voucher?

Yes. It is the one element the theme does not recolour, because a QR drawn light-on-dark is refused by a good share of scanners. It stays black on white on every theme.

Why is there no message field on the card size?

Because 88.9 x 50.8mm has no room for one, and a message squeezed into four points is worse than no message. Use the landscape, square or A4 size if you want to write something.

Can I make a batch with different codes?

Yes, and this is the one where that matters most. Each layout is an imejis design, so the same one can be saved as a template and rendered once per code from a spreadsheet or an API call.

How to use the gift voucher maker

Pick a size. Wallet size to hand over, 1200x630 to email, square to send in a message, or a full A4 page to print.
Set the value. It is the largest thing on the voucher by a wide margin, and it shrinks to fit rather than overflowing.
Add a code and an expiry. The code sits in a dashed box, which is the universal shorthand for the part that matters.
Point the QR somewhere useful. The redemption page, not the code. Scan it yourself before you print a hundred.
Download. PDF at a true card or A4 size, or PNG, JPG, WebP or SVG at 1x, 2x or 3x.

A hundred vouchers, a hundred codes?

Each layout is an imejis design. Save one as a template, mark the code and the value dynamic, and render the batch from a spreadsheet, a Zap or an API call.
