No. The editor covers designing, and a public link lets anyone fill in the fields and generate an image with no account and no API key. Zapier, Make and n8n cover automation. The REST API is there when you want it.

Yes. Edits autosave to a private draft; publishing appends a version with a preview image and the name of whoever shipped it. Restoring an old version loads it into the draft, and publishing that draft appends another version. Nothing is deleted.
One image returned. A render URL embedded in an <img> tag re-renders on every page load, so it counts every time — generate once and host the result unless live data is the point. Anonymous renders through public links draw on a separate pool.
png, jpeg, webp and pdf, up to 4096 × 4096, with JPEG quality from 1 to 100. Video export is on the way.
Either. The bytes come back in the response by default, or you can ask for a permanent hosted URL or a signed URL that expires — 60 minutes by default, 7 days at most.
