Create your first template
Design a reusable image template in the Imejis editor. Add text, images, and shapes, then set the size for your output.
A template is a reusable design that Imejis renders into a finished image. You build it once, mark the parts that should change, and generate as many variations as you need. Do it by hand, from a form, or through the API.
Start a new designStart a new design
- Open the editor and create a new design.
- Set the canvas size to match your output. For example, 1200×630 for an Open Graph image, or 1080×1080 for a square social post.
- Give the design a name so you can find it later.
Add componentsAdd components
Everything on the canvas is a component. Add the ones you need:
- Text for headlines, names, dates, or any copy.
- Image for logos, photos, backgrounds, or avatars.
- Shapes (rectangles, circles, and lines) for backgrounds, dividers, and accents.
Position and style each component until the layout looks right. What you see on the canvas is exactly what renders.
Set what changesSet what changes
The pieces that vary from one image to the next, like a name, a title, or a photo, should become dynamic fields. That's what lets one template produce thousands of on-brand images. See Dynamic fields for how to set them up.
